Wakana mostly lives alone in high school. Because of his doll-making hobby, people find him strange, and he can’t express himself. Marin is the complete opposite — stylish, social, and the class favorite. When Wakana meets her, he thinks these two can never match. But when Marin sees him using a sewing machine, she reveals her secret — she wants to do cosplay and needs Wakana’s help to make the costumes. Now Wakana, who never got close to anyone, starts working on cosplay projects with Marin. Together, they make costumes, go to conventions, and slowly their bond grows from professional to personal. Season 2 brings new costumes, new conventions, and new characters — Akira (Marin’s admirer) and Rune — who make things even more interesting.
